Two held with red panda hide



KATHMANDU: Two persons have been arrested from a hotel in Kathmandu with an object resembling a red panda’s skin.

According to police, they were arrested from Hotel Mirchi based in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-1 on Thursday.

Among the arrested are Tulsang Dorje Gole, 29, of Dolakha Melung rural municipality-4, and Ram Kumar Shrestha, 38, of Panchkhal municipality-2, Kavre

They were arrested by the police from Durbar Marg on the basis of information that they were selling red panda skins.

Police said they are conducting further investigation into this case.
