KATHMANDU: Rajasthan has defeated Delhi Capitals by 15 runs in a cricket match held under the Premier League (IPL).
Delhi lost to Rajasthan by 15 runs after it was restricted to 207 runs by the latter while following a 223-run target.
Captain Rishabh Pant topped the score with 44 runs followed by Prithvi Shaw and Lalit Yadav with 37 runs each for Delhi.
In reply, Rajasthan’s Prasidh Krishna took three wickets while R Ashwin grabbed two wickets of Delhi.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Rajasthan had notched up 222 runs at the loss of two wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Rajasthan’s Jos Buttler made the highest 116 runs followed by Devdutt Padikkal with 54 runs while Sanju Samson made 46 runs and remained unbeaten.
With this win, Rajasthan Royals climbed atop the points table with 10 points from five wins out of seven matches.
Similarly, Delhi is in the sixth position with six points out of seven matches played so far.
