NA committed to safeguarding Nepali people, sovereignty: CoAS Sharma

RAJAPUR: Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma today said there have not been any changes in the principle, major policy, spirit, efficiency, role and activities of the Nepal Army despite a reform in its organisational structure.

Inaugurating the ex-armies’ conference organised at No 5 Brigade, Rajapur Barrack of the Nepal Army here, the Army Chief said the NA is committed to safeguarding Nepali people and country’s sovereignty.

“The organisation is ready to shoulder its duties and responsibilities as stipulated in the constitution. The NA Army has at its best been helping the ex-armies through its welfare fund. You (ex-armies) utilise your knowledge and skills in the Nepali soil,” he added.
