DOTM corrects statement; says services closed till Thursday morning

KATHMANDU: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has revised its notice regarding closure of all services provided by transport offices across the country.

In a statement issued by DoTM for the second time on Wednesday, the department has clarified that servers will be closed from 5 pm on Wednesday to 6 am on Thursday.

DoTM spokesperson Loknath Bhusal informed that the services had to be stalled due to the need to change the power supply system to UPS.

Earlier, the department had issued a notice saying that all services would be disrupted from 5 pm on Wednesday until the problem was resolved. The department was criticized on social media for saying it was uncertain when the service would be resumed.

However, issuing a second notice, the department accused that the information about indefinite closure of the DoTM services was misinterpretation of its message.
