Fraudster faces music



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man for swindling people impersonating himself as a captain of the Nepal Army.

The arrested has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Pariyar alias Arjun Katuwal of Manebhanjang rural municipality-5, Okhaldhunga, currently staying at Pokhara Metropolitan City-10, Amar Singh Chowk.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police deployed from District Police Office, Kaski, arrested Pariyar for defrauding three people of Rs 975,140 by promising them that he would help recruit them in Singapore Police, Nepal Police, said police.
