Nepal sees 312 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 87 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 312 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday. Nepal recorded 476 new coronavirus cases and three deaths on Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 256 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 56 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 67 cases in Kathmandu, 10 in Bhaktapur and 10 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 87 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,930 to date.

Currently, there are 10,090 active cases in the country as 911 infected patients recovered.
