Vote count begins in Taplejung



TAPLEJUNG: Vote count has begun in Taplejung. An all-party meeting decided to do so a while ago.

The vote count under the House of Representatives kicked off, said the Chief Returning Officer Nirmala Yongya, adding that vote count under the Province Assembly will begin thereafter.

Out of the total 88,285 registered voters, 48,355 voters cast their votes, according to the Election Commission.

Under the HoR, main competitors are Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai of CPN UML, and Khel Prasad Budhathoki of CPN (Maoist Center) on behalf of the ruling alliance.
