KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader and House of Representatives member candidate from Kathmandu 5, Pradeep Paudel has retained the lead by leaving CPN-UML vice president Ishwar Pokharel behind by more than 2800 votes.

Out of 28,073 votes counted so far, Paudel has got 9,196 votes.

Pokharel has got only 6,370 votes.

Pokharel, who was elected from this constituency in 2074 BS, had lost the elections in 2064 and 2070 BS.
