Nepal sees 43 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 43 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

All of the confirmed cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 798 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

As many as 435 samples were tested through RT-PCR method and 363 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 716 active cases in the country as 48 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,018 to date.
