KATHMANDU: Top leaders of the five ruling parties are meeting on Monday afternoon to discuss the distribution of seats in the November 20 elections.

The elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and State Assembly are scheduled to be held on November 20.

United Socialist leader Beduram Bhusal said that the meeting of the ruling coalition will be held on Monday afternoon at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

As the task force led by Nepali Congress (NC) Krishna Prasad Sitaula, formed to allocate seats for the upcoming elections, failed to complete its task, the responsibility has been handed over to the top leaders.

The five ruling parties are preparing to contest the polls by allocating seats among them.

However, the political parties have not been able to reach an agreement on the number of seats so far.
