Nepal sees 456 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 456 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 384 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 72 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,838 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,168 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,670 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,841 active cases in the country as 80 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No COVID-19 related death was recorded in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country remains constant at 11,954 to date.
