PM Deuba calls meeting of ruling coalition to discuss cabinet reshuffle

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the ruling coalition to discuss a cabinet reshuffle this afternoon.

The meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar will be attended by top leaders of the Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist and Janata Samajwadi Party.

It should be noted that the Unified Socialist party has already decided to call back its ministers and has recommended new names to Prime Minister Deuba.

However, Prime Minister Deuba had earlier urged Unified Socialist party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to be patient until the budget was endorsed.

Meanwhile, as the Unified Socialist is preparing to send new ministers to the cabinet, the Nepali Congress, Maoist Center and the Janata Samajwadi Party are also under pressure to send new faces to the Pm Deuba-led cabinet.
