MFD forecast light to moderate rainfall today



KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast light to moderate rainfall in various parts of the country on Wednesday.

According to MFD, the eastern part of the country will witness a moderate effect of monsoon wind while the western territory has the influence of local wind.

Province 1, Madesh Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province will remain generally cloudy with possibilities of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, and partly cloudy in the rest of the country.

Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places in Gandaki Province and at one or two places in the rest of the Province.

The impact of the weather system has brought general changes in province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki province, and partial changes in the remaining provinces, the Weather Forecasting Division shared.

Kathmandu valley has also seen changes since early this morning. Light rain is taking place in some parts of the Valley.

As informed, the same weather system will continue in the nighttime.
