UML, NC share key posts at Kshireshwornath



DHANUSHA: The CPN (UML) has won the mayoral post while the Nepali Congress (NC) clinched the deputy-mayor at Kshireshwornath municipality in Dhanusha.

UML candidate Sukha Dev Yadav secured a total of 7,913 votes against 7,300 bagged by his nearest competitor Yogendra Panjiyar of NC.

Similarly, NC candidate Rachana Shrestha Mathema has been reelected on the post of deputy mayor by gaining 7,550 while her nearest competitor Salini Chaudhary from the UML finished the race with 7,511.

The municipality consists of 10 wards and NC candidates have become victorious at 10 wards while two wards have been won by the UML.
