Ruling coalition to hold joint election rallies



KATHMANDU: The five-party ruling coalition is holding joint election rallies in all the provinces in the lead-up to the local level election to be held on May 13.

According to the coalition’s internal preparation and monitoring mechanism for the local elections convened by senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel, the rally will be addressed by the top six leaders including the leaders of the five parties and the coordinator of the alliance.

The coalition will hold election rallies in Dhangadhi and Surkhet on May 1, Butwal and Pokhara on May 2, Biratnagar and Janakpur on May 3 and Kathmandu on May 5.
