CPN-Biplav leader Manik Lama nabbed in allegation of planting explosives



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist) leader Manik Lama has also been implicated in the incident related to possession of explosives.

The Special Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is investigating the incident. After Lama was also found  involved in the blast, a Special Bureau team arrested him and handed him over to Kathmandu Police.

According to SSP Sudip Giri of the Metropolitan Police Complex, Kathmandu, Lama was investigated at the Metropolitan Police Circle, New Baneshwor.

After completing the investigation, the file has been submitted to the Kathmandu District Court last Friday.

Leader Lama is still in police custody as the initial hearing on him has not completed yet.

Lama was arrested from Bhaktapur three weeks ago. He is the father of CPN-UML lawmaker Nabina Lama.
