Top leaders of the coalition meet in Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: Top leaders of ruling coalition Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN-Unified Socialist Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal have met in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning.

According to Prime Minister Deuba’s Press coordinator Govinda Pariyar, the top leaders met at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar to discuss current issues, including the probability of electoral alliance in the local elections slated to be held on May 13.

The leaders had a discussion on various issues including the coalition in upcoming elections.

Despite the coalition leader Maoist Center Chair Prachanda and Unified Socialist Chair Nepal’s attempt to retain coalition while contesting in election as well, NC seems willing to contest alone.

During the Tuesday’s discussion Maoist Center Chair Prachanda urged the Prime Minister to address the serious issues of injured and disabled warriors of the Maoist-led conflict.
