UAE wins toss, invites Nepal to field

KATHMANDU: UAE won the toss and elected to bat in the first group semi-final of the T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers match Nepal is playing in Oman on Tuesday.

Nepal reached the semi-finals as the group winner while UAE is the runner-up in the other group.

The team that wins today’s game will be selected for the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Nepal has taken UAE’s two wickets so far, first in the second over and the second in the eighth over. By the end of the eighth over UAE has scored 72 at the loss of two wickets.

Under Sandeep Lamichhane’s captainship, Nepal is striving to make the journey for the World Cup after eight years.
