Coronavirus infection confirmed in more than 50 percent samples tested



KATHMANDU: With more than 50 percent samples tested in past 24 hours coming positive, Kathmandu valley has shown itself as the coronavirus hub again.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, coronavirus infection was confirmed in 50.97 percent or 10,254 people while testing the samples of 20,187 people.

Similarly, 708 coronavirus patients recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people who have recovered from coronavirus has reached 820,283.

In the last 24 hours, 16 people died due to coronavirus infection and the number of deaths due to corona infection in Nepal has reached 11,651.

At present, 72,862 people are actively infected with the coronavirus in Nepal.
