Capt. Thapa meets TSAAJ Director General Otsuka Hiroshi



KATHMANDU: Captain Rameshwar Thapa, President, Airlines Operators Association Nepal and Mr. Otsuka Hiroshi, Director General, The Scheduled Airlines Association of Japan met today to explore mutual cooperation between the association of the two nations in the witness of Nepal’s Ambassador to Japan Durga Bahadur Subedi.

During the meeting, they discussed largely about the solidarity between TSAAJ and AOAN and enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries.

At the meeting, Capt. Thapa discussed about promoting direct flights and ensuring the quality of service. He also invited Mr. Shinichi Inoue, Chairman, TSAAJ and team to the AEROSUMMIT NEPAL 2023 being held on March in Kathmandu.

Exchanges and best practice visits, and working jointly on flight safety management also became the agenda of the topic. Capt. Thapa highlighted on promoting Nepal as a global destination of aviation related endurance tests.

Mr. Otsuka welcomed the initiatives of AOAN and assured that the need to add Japanese airlines to Nepal will be communicated to all the member operators of the association. He added more flights will be important to promote tourism.

Ambassador Subedi highlighted the need for additional flights between Nepal and Japan, he recommended AOAN to facilitate the process in cooperation with fellow association. He also assured the embassy’s full cooperation for the AEROSUMMIT.

On the same occasion, Motoyuki Odachi, former member of parliament, informed that addition of flights to Nepal by Japanese operators will be one of the top three agendas of the delegation of Japan-Nepal Parliamentary friendship league scheduled Jan 11-14 2022 at Kathmandu.
