NC bags the first victory, NC candidate Yogesh Gauchan wins in Mustang



JOMSOM: Nepali Congress has made a winning start in General Election-2079.

Yogesh Gauchan, the House of Representatives member candidate from Mustan, made himself the first person to bag victory in the general election held on November 20.

The election office is yet to make a formal announcement.

28-year-old Gauchan defeated CPN-UML’s Premprakash Tulachan. Gauchan got 3,156 votes while UML’s Tulachan got only 2,521 votes. Praveen Kumar Sherchan of the Rastriya Swatantra Party got only 66 votes.
