UML candidates take initial lead in all three constituencies of Lalitpur



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has taken the initial lead towards the House of Representatives in all the three constituencies of Lalitpur district.

UML candidates Nawaraj Silwal in constitutency 1, Prem Maharjan in constituency 2 and Amrit Khadka in constituency 3 are ahead than other candidates in the preliminary vote count.

In constituency 1, Silwal take lead in first position with 665 votes followed by Uday Shumsher Rana of Nepali Congress with 401 votes and Sachin Ghimire of Rastriya Swotantra Party coming in third place with 93 votes.

UML candidate Maharjan is being chased by the candidate of Hamro Nepali Party in constituency 2.

In constituency 3, UML’s Khadka is chased by Rastriya Swotantra Party’s Dr. Tosima Karki, who is in second place so far.

According to the count till 8:30 in the morning in Lalitpur constituency 3, UML’s Khadka has 497 votes and Dr Tosima has 286 votes.

Meanwhile, Pampha Bhusal of the Maoist Center has received 103 votes.
