BAITADI: Three policemen have died in a jeep accident at Patan Municipality 4, Ningladi Khola under Dasarathchand Highway this morning.
According to Chief District Officer of Baitadi, Suresh Panthi, three policemen died on the spot when the Se 1 Ja 854 jeep met with an accident while returning after delivering the ballot boxes.
He informed that the police have already started the rescue work.
The jeep had been transporting the ballot boxes all night and the driver may have been drowsy and the accident happened, CDO Panthi speculated.
The jeep fell about 3000 meters from the road. Further details are yet to come.
