SINDHUPALCHOWK: Syabal Pokhari which displays the awesome beauty of nature is currently a must-see destination in Nepal’s Sindhupalchowk district.

The district close to Kathmandu and a part of Bagmati Province boasts of various cultural heritage sites that include the Gaurati Bhimeshwor temple, the Tauthali Mai temple, and the Sunkoshi Kafeshwar Mahadev temple, the Kshemadevi temple, and Larke Ghyang, which are popular for pilgrims.

Other destinations include Bhairav Kunda and Panch-Pokhari – considered popular trekking destinations with religious and cultural significance.

Meanwhile, the Syabal Pokhari, at an altitude of 4,200 meters, has been a new tourist destination.

Surrounded by high mountains from all sides, this pond is as peaceful as it is beautiful.

However, access to this beautiful lake is not easy due to the geographical remoteness and bad road.

This Syabal Pokhari can be reached after an hour’s walk uphill from Tembathang.
