Prachanda and Baburam holding talks even today

Talks to dwell on forming a Socialist Center

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and former Federal Council Chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai are meeting today as well to discuss the formation of a Socialist Center.

The meeting between the two leaders has been taken significantly as Prachanda has also been holding discussions with Bamdev Gautam, the coordinator of the Rastriya Ekata Abhiyan, in a bid to unify all communist forces in the country.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prachanda and Bhattarai held an hour-long discussion at the Maoist Center’s parliamentary party office, Singha Darbar.

Prachanda, during the meeting, proposed Bhattarai work together. However, Dr. Bhattarai said that he would work toward forming a Socialist Center to bring all Left forces into one platform.

On Tuesday itself, Prachanda also held a discussion on the issue with Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, the senior leader of the party Jhalanath Khanal, and Maoist Center leader Narayankaji Shrestha.

During the meeting, Prachanda emphasized the need for unity among like-minded parties.
