Tri-Chandra’s Meteorology Department felicitates luminary alumni



KATHMANDU: The Department of Meteorology of Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus has feted luminary alumni Arbrinda Khadka amidst a program on the campus premises on Tuesday.

Completing BSc in Meteorology from Tri-Chandra Campus, in 2070 BS, Khadka recently scaled the world’s highest peak Mount Everest as part of a scientific expedition, setting an inspirational precedent to science students and the scientific community in Nepal.

The department honored Khadka in the presence of students, Assistant Campus Chief Shiv Kumar Mahato and Head of the Department Ram Hari Acharya, among others.

Expressing pride over Khadka’s undertakings, HoD Acharya said, “his contribution to furthering scientific meteorological work in the Himalayas would continue to inspire future generations of students in the country.

On the occasion, Khadka also interacted with students and shared his experiences.

Currently, Khadka is a Glaciology (Mera Glacier) PhD scholar at Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) (National Research Institute for Sustainable Development) in France.
