Tata Motors cars price increased by INR 25,000 in India

KATHMANDU: Tata Motors, India’s leading vehicle manufacturer announced a price increase across its passenger vehicles, to partially offset the rise in input cost.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility hinted at the price hike due to a consistent increase in commodity, semiconductor, steel and precious metals prices.

The car maker increased the prices of its passenger vehicles up to 1.1%, depending upon individual models and variants.

This isn’t the first price hike on Tata Cars for 2022, as earlier in January the company increased the overall prices of its car by an average of 0.9%.

The carmaker’s portfolio in Nepal consists of ICE cars, namely Tiago, NRG, Tigor, Altroz, Nexon, H5 and Safari, along with the two EVs – Nexon EV and Tigor EV.

Tata Motors has hiked the prices of Nexon EV across variants by INR 25,000.

It is also likely that Tata Motors is planning to launch a new special edition for Nexon EV in Nepal. This could probably be exclusive variant with their electric vehicles.
