Unity, cooperation possible with genuine communists: Biplav

JUMLA: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav” has hinted at the possibility of unity and cooperation with what he said “genuine” Communists in the country.

Talking to reporters in Jumla, he said that communist unity could be achieved on the basis of Nepal’s current political needs.

“The door for communist unity is always open,” he said, however, adding, “There can be unity only with genuine communist parties.”

Biplav’s views come at a time when Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has floated the proposal of unity among all former Maoist parties.

He also said that the journey of socialism should be carried out together with the democratic forces.
