Let’s hope people won’t brand this budget as the worst-ever

KATHMANDU: Not all the good things in the budget are planned. There are also some bad things and plans. So the main thing is to hear that today’s crisis started from legacy. But, that’s not it. The rise in oil prices has not come in legacy.

Due to the development of various technologies, last year’s remittances and this year’s remittances have increased.

An IT engineer can go to the revenue department and track Rs 1 billion rupees used in gambling. Secondly, this crypto-currency transaction is equal to a million-worth transaction.

There are around 10,000 people involved in such transactions daily. Monitoring such a person, one person gets about 1 million.

In this regard, a file was submitted to the Ministry of Finance stating that it was against the law. The Ministry of Finance said that the approval of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) should be obtained after 20 days.

In such a situation, people have become very fast in using technology. However, the state is ignoring it and speculating. That is why that level of manpower is needed everywhere.

Regarding the electric stove, we do not have the infrastructure for the electric stove in the first place. For that, infrastructure has to be developed.

IT engineers claim that they can save Rs 2 billion per month provided they are assigned to track it. And, the revenue department proposed the IT engineers a job equivalent to the officer, however, the engineers refused the proposal. If that is done from a political level, perhaps, the group might cooperate.

So our public debt is increasing. That debt is not going to decrease. The amount of loan taken goes into business. It does not increase production, nor does it increase employment. In such a situation, the bank shows a lack of liquidity.

We are still raising about Rs 10 million in debt in the current financial year. There is nothing in the Hetauda textile industry. It’s just a skeleton.

With such a policy, when can we get the clothes and use them? The industry has not been able to run as only those who consume more than 100 million units will get the subsidy.

Regarding the electric stove, we do not have the infrastructure for the electric stove in the first place. For that, infrastructure has to be developed.

And, for that, our finance minister had said that Rs 500 billion is needed. What happens to investors of Rs 600 billion here after a 90 percent discount is offered on imported goods?

No matter how much we made the policy, we never tried to implement it. Let there not come a day when one has to say this is the worst budget ever.
