Less than 100,000 votes left to be counted in KMC

189,420 votes cast in metropolis



KATHMANDU: Less than 100,000 votes are left to be counted in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

So far, 90,292 votes have been counted out of the total votes cast in the metropolis.

Now, only 99,128 votes are left to be counted. A total of 189,420 votes were cast in the metropolis in the local level elections held on May 13.

So far, the votes of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 28, 29, 30, and 32 wards of KMC have been completed while the counting of votes of 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 31 wards are underway.

Independent candidate Balen Shah is leading with 33,260 votes. CPN-UML candidate Keshav is following him with 17,692 votes, while the alliance candidate of the ruling coalition, Nepali Congress, Sirjana Singh is in the third position with 17,579 votes.
