Nepal sees 45 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

16 new cases in Kathmandu district



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 45 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 41 were detected through the RT-PCR method and four from the antigen method.

Meanwhile, Kathmandu district recorded 16 new cases, with Bhaktapur and Lalitpur registering zero new cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the country has got relief from coronavirus related death of late. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,950 to date.

Currently, there are 3,135 active cases in the country as 147 infected patients recovered.
