UML leader Bhusal proposes unity among leftist forces for local level elections

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Ghanshyam Bhusal has proposed unity among the communist forces for local level elections.

At the UML Politburo meeting taking place in Kathmandu on Monday afternoon, Bhusal argued that unity among communist forces was a must to secure leftist victory in the upcoming local level polls.

He also justified his proposal with three reasons.

The first reason for leftist unity, according to Bhusal, is that the UML is the mainstream force of communists. Secondly, he argued, the split of communist forces in the past lacked ideological grounds for division. And thirdly, unity is necessary to ensure the victory of leftist forces in the upcoming election.
