KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress’ (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel is holding meetings with the top leaders of ruling partners.
A close source said that Poudel was going to have separate meetings with CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav.
Senior leader Poudel will discuss the fate of the coalition and ratification of US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) with the three leaders of ruling parties, sources said.
Though Prachanda, Nepal and Yadav okayed tabling MCC in parliament, they have said they would vote against the agreement.
Leader Poudel is doing rounds convincing the MCC-opposed leaders to ratify the compact and save the coalition.
