Two held with fake Nepali currencies



CHITWAN: Police have arrested two individuals with counterfeit Nepali currency notes from Chitwan district.

The arrested are Pabitra Ghatane, 25, of Khairhani Municipality-3 and Gagan Lal Tamang, 27, of Rapti-7.

They were arrested while buying clothes by giving fake notes at a fancy shop in Belchowk, Bharatpur, said District Police, Chitwan.

An investigation has been launched into the case under the Criminal Code, 2074 BS, with the permission from the Chitwan District Court for five days.

According to the District Police Office, 10 fake notes of Rs 1,000 in denomination, one mobile phone and a laptop were recovered from the suspects.
