Gagan Thapa to contest with PM Deuba for PP leader  

Dr. Shekhar Koirala backs Gagan Thapa



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa is filing his candidacy for the post of Parliamentary Party (PP) leader with the support of party leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala.

A meeting of the Thapa and Koirala factions held this morning in Lainchour today decided to field Gagan Thapa as the Parliamentary Party leader.

Likewise, party General Secretary Bishwaprakash Sharma has also announced his support to Gagan Thapa for the parliamentary party leader candidate.

Thapa will be contesting with NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday.

The NC party is holding an election for the post of Parliament Party leader on Wednesday.
