Voting affected as explosion takes place at Khairapur polling station in Bardiya

RUPANDEHI: Voting was affected after an explosion at Nera Sambhusharana Primary School at Khairapur polling station of Guleriya-2 in Bardiya.

A bomb placed on the roof of the school exploded shortly after the voting started on Sunday morning.

Voters fled after the explosion.

No untoward incidences have been reported.

Security personnel have been deployed in large numbers in that area.
