CHITWAN: The Netra Bikram Channd Biplav-led CPN-Maoist party tried to disrupt the elections and burn the ballot box in Chitwan.

Eyewitnesses said Biplav’s cadres tried to disrupt the election at the polling station of Bhramhasthani Basic School located in Chitwan Constituency-1 Rapti-8.

Chitwan police spokesperson DSP Bijay Raj Pandit said that police fired in air after a group of 15-20 people tried to disrupt the election.
