From where PM Deuba and top leaders are casting votes



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is casting vote at a voting center of Asigram Secondary School of Ruwakhola from Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality-1 of his home district, Dadeldhura.

It is said PM Deuba, who is in Dadeldhura at present, is scheduled to cast vote at 9:00 am Sunday.

PM’s legal expert, Keshav Raj Joshi, said even PM Deuba’s spouse Dr Arzu Rana is casting vote from the same voting center.

PM Deuba, who has been continuously elected from this constituency since 2048BS, is again a candidate of House of Representatives member here.

Similarly, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, is exercising his franchise from a voting center located at Prakashpur of Barahachhetra Municipality-10, according to his personal aide, Ramaji Thapa.

Home Minister Balkrishna Khand is casting a vote from a voting center located at Jyoti Basic School of Tolittama-8 in Rupandehi.

He is also the candidate for HoR member from constituency-3 in the district.

Moreover, Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Chairperson of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, and other top leaders are exercising franchise from their respective voting centres where they have the voter’s name list.

Chairperson Dahal has reached Chitwan Saturday afternoon, according to his press coordinator, Surya Kiran Sharma.

Dahal is voting from a voting centre of Shivanagar at Bharatpur Metropolis-14.

Unified Socialist Chairperson Nepal is casting vote from a voting centre located at Ramjanaki Kanya Basic School of Gaura Municipality-2.

Similarly, same party leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal is voting from Suryodaya Municipality-9 of Ilam, Chairperson of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Manatha Thakur, from Balara Municipality-1 of Sarlahi, Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party, Upendra Yadav, from Degree Campus of Biratnagar-14.

NC senior leader Ramchandra Poudel is casting vote from Byas-2 of Tanahu district, NC General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa from Maitidevi of Kathmandu-30, and General Secretary Bishwo Prakash Sharma from Mechinagar Municipality-16 of Jhapa.
