APF bags gold in men’s Rugby



POKHARA: Armed Police Force, Nepal’s departmental team has clinched the gold medal in men’s rugby in the 9th National Games undergoing in Gandaki Province.

In the final match played on Wednesday, the APF beat Lumbini by 10-7 and won the gold medal. Lumbini Province entered the final by defeating Nepal Army by 5-0 points, while APF had reached the final after defeating Gandaki Province by 17-7.

Gandaki province won the bronze medal. Gandaki defeated Tribhuvan Army with a score of 10-5.

Likewise, the Tribhuvan Army Club won the women’s gold medal in rugby. In the final match, Army beat APF 10-0 and won the gold medal.

Army defeated Madhes Province by 17-5 points and entered the final, while APF defeated Sudurpaschim by 10-0 to reach the final. The bronze medal went to Sudur Paschim province. It managed to win the bronze medal by defeating Madhes Province 5-0.
