KATHMANDU: The health condition of Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging a hunger strike for the past nine days in Seti Provincial Hosital in Dhangadi, is rapidly deteriorating.
The hospital administration is preparing to fly him to Kathmandu in order to save his life despite the protesting doctor’s stance of not leaving Dhangadi until his demands are met.
According to Kailali Chief District Officer Kiran Thapa, authorities have been asked to send Dr KC to Kathmandu at the earliest. Therefore, preparations were done to fly Dr KC to Kathmandu.
Dr Sher Bahadur Kamar, who is involved in the treatment of Dr KC, said the protesting doctor’s sugar level has dropped to 40. Similarly, the pressure level is also very low.
Another Dr. Subedhraj Kayastha said that bleeding is also taking place from Dr KC’s stomach.
