EC grants permission to 36 organizations so far to observe Nov 20 elections



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has given permission to 36 organizations to observe and monitor the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly to be held on November 20.

According to the EC, 2 international organizations have received permission so far.

The SAARC Human Rights Foundation and the Asian Network for Free Elections have been given permission to observe the elections.

Similarly, Election Supervision Committee Nepal, Maswasit Nepal 4H, National Election Supervision Committee, Rastra Nirman Manch Nepal, Nepal Youth Council, National Business Initiative, Inclusive Women’s Network for Resolution-Peace Justice and Democracy, Democracy Resource Center Nepal, Women Act, among others have got the permission.

Likewise, other organizations include New Vision Nepal, Youth Advocacy Nepal, Good Governance Federation Nepal, Election Observation Network Nepal, Angalo Senior Life Precious Foundation, Senior Citizen Service Center, Aadhar Youth Janshakti Manch Nepal, Common Campaign for Peace, Nepal Human Rights Organization, Blind Youth Association Nepal, Informal Sector Service Center INSEC, and Poverty Alleviation and Environment Protection Nepal.

Similarly, Nepal Rapid Action Team, National Federation of Youth Non-Governmental Organizations, World Record Society, Women’s Rehabilitation Center, Social Mobilization and Awareness Raising Group Nepal, Collective Campaign, Public Awareness Nepal, Former Judge Forum Nepal, National Tribal Women’s Forum, Ek Artha Nepal, Bageshwari Good Governance Club (BAS), Nepal Public Administration Association, Asha Nepal have received permission from the Commission to observe the elections.
