Unified Socialist Chair Nepal instructs cadres not to depend on coalition alone

KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has instructed the party cadres not to depend only on the power of the alliance.

Addressing an orientation program organized for the people’s representatives elected in the recently-conducted local elections from the Unified Socialist Party, Chairman Nepal directed the cadres, on Wednesday, not to depend only on the power of the coalition.

“Reliance on alliance might make us more dependent; a person who depends on others for everything can do nothing remarkable in life,” he said, adding, “Hence, I urge all of you to strengthen the party organization and party’s hold in public so that we can march victorious ahead.”

The Unified Socialist Chair said that there were weaknesses in many places during the exercise of the alliance in the local elections, and now they should be addressed.

Unified Socialist has been accusing the coalition partners Nepali Congress and CPN-Maoist Center of not giving it due space and recognition while allocating seats in the local level election.
