Indian national nabbed with unlawful Rs 4.1 million



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an Indian citizen with more than Rs 4.1 million money from undisclosed sources.

Police arrested 25-year-old Rakesh Kumar, resident of Raxaul, Bihar East Champaran Thana, India.

The team deployed from the Provincial Police Office Janakpur and District Police Office Parsa stopped and checked Rakesh who was coming from Raxaul towards Birgunj on a motorcycle in Birgunj-16, Jatjayanti Chowk and found Rs 4.1 million.

He had hidden the money under the seat of the motorcycle and in the tank. The police have informed that an investigation is being conducted into the offense against Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2017.
