Streets in Nepalgunj waterlogged



KATHMANDU: The streets in Nepalgunj town have been flooded with rainwater following heavy downpour this morning.

The inner streets as well as the Setu BK Chowk, BP Chowk, Ramlila ground in the sub-metropolis have become waterlogged due to this, hampering the traffic.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office Madhusudan Neupane shared that some localities in the town have been inundated.

Nepalgunj received 86 millimetres rainfall, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated.

The Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City some weeks back had cleaned the drains to prevent inundation.
