Home Minister stresses Yoga practice for stress management



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said the practice of Yoga will be helpful in the management of stress, anxiety, anger, tension, wrath, and other mental conditions in human life.

In his address to a Yoga camp and motivation program organized at the Nepal Police Headquarters in Naxal, Kathmandu, on Monday, on the occasion of the eighth international Yoga Day, the Home Minister said the Yoga would be effective in stress management by maintaining a balance a body and mental state and thus helpful in living a peaceful and productive life.

“Yoga practice is significant for stress management among the police staff who own a special responsibility of combating crime and maintaining social law and order to keep the civic life safe,” he said.

On the occasion, he urged the police employees to practice Yoga for sound body and mind and for cultivating good thoughts. “Yoga helps us to live a disciplined life,” added.

Inspector General of Police Dheeraj Pratap Singh said the regular practice helps achieve sound physical and mental health, keeping practitioners rejuvenated and free from various health issues.
