TANAHU: The task of constructing two-lane of Dumre-Besisahar road is gaining momentum.

It includes construction of a drainage pipe of the road linking Lamjung and Tanahun districts, wall erection and side cutting related works.

A two-lane road from near Dumre Bazaar is being constructed as part of the road from Tanahun’s Dumre Bazaar to Lamjung.

The construction of two-lane road from Dumre Bazaar to Chambas is being expedited in the first phase.

Information Officer Adhikari said the newly-constructed road lane will be of 15 meter each with ‘Right of Way’ on both sides.

It is the Dumre-Besisahar road through which the locals of trans-Himalayan district Manang travel.

Residents of three districts will be directly benefitted after the completion of the two-lane road.

Locals complained that the road has turned to the sorry state of affairs when maintenance works were not carried out in a timely manner.
