Paddy plantation begins in rain-fed districts (In Pics)

KATHMANDU: As Nepal witnesses the arrival of the monsoon, it has given hope and cheer to farmers across the country.

Monsoon has already entered Nepal last week, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Farmers have begun planting paddy in different parts of the country after rains made their fields ready.

Farmers, both men and women, are seen busy in their fields engaged in planting saplings.

Nepal also observes National Paddy Day on the 15th of the Nepali month of Asar (Early July), which is considered the beginning of the rice planting season.

It is celebrated every year.
