HoR endorses eight ordinances



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday endorsed eight ordinances.

Of the passed ordinances, three– Nepal Police and Provincial Police (Operation, Supervision and Coordination (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2078; Social Security (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2078; and Acid and Other Hazardous Chemicals (Regulation) Ordinance, 2078 –were tabled by Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.

Likewise, Drug (Third Amendment) Ordinance, 2079, and Security of Health Workers and Health Institutions (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2079 were presented by Minister of State Bhawani Prasad Khapung on behalf of Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada.

Railway Ordinance, 2078 was tabled by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Renu Kumari Yadav.

Also, Ordinance to Amend Some Acts Related to Criminal Offences and Criminal Procedure, 2078, and Ordinance on Amendment of Some Acts against Sexual Voi8lence, 2078 were presented by Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki on behalf of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Gobinda Prasad Sharma Koirala.

The HoR will meet next on May 24.
