Nepal sees 11 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 11 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

All 11 confirmed cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,874 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 2,300 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 574 through the Antigen method.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.

Currently, there are 149 active cases in the country as 12 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
