BANKE: Nepali Congress (NC) has also opened an account in the NepalgunjSub Metropolitan City.
NC candidate Prashant Bista from the alliance has won the post of mayor in the sub metropolis. He received 23,460 votes while his nearest rival Pashupati Dayal Mishra of UML got 11,675 votes.
Similarly, Maruddin Rai of Janata Samajwadi Party has been elected as the deputy mayor with 17,950 votes.
